Steelers Training Camp returns to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe this summer — and the practices are free. Here's how to see the team and turn it into a weekend in the mountains.
For Steelers fans, late July means one thing: the team is back at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe for training camp — a tradition now stretching well over half a century. It's one of the last NFL camps that still welcomes the public up close, and the best part: it's free. Here's how to make a weekend of it.
The essentials
Camp practices open to the public run from late July into mid-August (in 2026, the first open practice is Wednesday, July 29, with the final one around August 17). A few things worth knowing:
- Admission is free, but you'll need a free mobile ticket in advance — check the official pages before you drive up.
- Parking is free, and gates typically open in the morning (around 8:30am) for late-morning practices.
- The night practice — in 2026 it's Saturday, August 8 at 6pm at Latrobe Memorial Stadium — is the marquee event, and the spot fans point to for player autographs.
Always confirm the current schedule and ticket details on the official sources: Saint Vincent College and Steelers.com.
Why a cabin beats a hotel
Latrobe sits right at the edge of the Laurel Highlands — roughly 40 minutes from our Hidden Valley cabins. Instead of a cramped hotel room near a sold-out camp, you get a full house: bedrooms for the whole group, a kitchen for game-day-sized breakfasts before practice, and a hot tub and game room for the evenings. Our South Ridge and Eagles homes both have pool tables and space to spread out — ideal for a guys' trip or a family Steelers pilgrimage.
Round out the weekend
Between practices, you're minutes from Ohiopyle's waterfalls, the GAP trail, and Fallingwater. Catch a morning practice, chase a waterfall in the afternoon, and grill back at the cabin.
