Autumn 2026 · Laurel Highlands

Every festival this fall, with the right dates.

Steam threshers in New Centerville, a sawmill running at Springs, cannon fire at Ligonier, and a whole river town turned over to pumpkins at Confluence. This is what is on, and when.

Where this came from

Credit where it is due: the roundup that started this was published by GO Laurel Highlands, the region’s tourism office — @go_laurelhighlands, who know this region better than we ever will. We then opened each organiser’s own website to confirm the dates, and every festival below links straight back to its source. Where a listing and an organiser disagreed, we went with the organiser. Where one hasn’t published this year’s dates yet, we say so rather than guess.

One worth flagging if you are already planning: if you have seen the Farmers & Threshermen’s Jubilee listed for 11–13 September, the fire company has it on 2–6 September.

Last checked September 1, 2026. Festivals move — confirm with the organiser before you drive.

Early fall colour over Hidden Valley, seen from the deck at South Ridge on October 7, 2026
From the deck at South Ridge, October 7, 2026: the first colour coming in. The colour report

Our three houses sit at Hidden Valley in Somerset County: South Ridge with its hot tub looking down the valley, Kooser with a hot tub and cedar sauna, Eagles with a game room, and Ohiopyle down the road. Booking direct is cheaper than the same house on Airbnb, because we are not paying their fee to sell it to you.

Fair warning about autumn here: foliage weekends and festival weekends are the same weekends, and they go late but they do go. If a date below is the reason for the trip, look sooner rather than later.
